Indicative values. On our site, sizes are in Italian (IT / EU) numbering Italian (IT / EU), except for Havaianas in Brazilian size (BR). Measurements may vary from brand to brand and from model to model. Centimeters refer to the foot length, not the shoe, unless otherwise indicated.

Regular or Narrow: the two Birkenstock fits

Many Birkenstock models are produced in two widths. The size size (length) is the same, it only changes the width of the plantar.

How to recognize the right fit

• A new Birkenstock looks wider than other shoes: the footbed leaves room for the toes to move naturally.
• The width is assessed with the straps or buckles already adjusted.
• With the right fit, there is a little space on the sides of the foot and the foot does not climb over the edges of the footbed.
• If you already have a pair of Birkenstocks, look at the imprint on the footbed: full = Narrow, outlined = Regular.

How to measure your foot

1. Measure at the end of the day, when your foot is slightly larger.
2. Place your foot on a sheet of paper, with your heel against a wall, wearing the socks you will use.
3. Mark the longest point of your foot and measure the distance from your heel in cm.
4. Repeat with the other foot and consider the larger measurement.
5. Compare the value with the "Foot (cm)" column.
